Hello world! The first Green V post

eli-greeneyes.jpg

It’s past 1:00 am, the header graphic on the page is screwed up(now fixed, yeah!), I should I have been in bed a long time ago, BUT the time has come to finally get this blog going.

I am doing this blog for a few reasons: one, I am enthusiastic about things like “sustainability”, “permaculture“, “gardening”, “green building”,”ecovillages” “LOHAS“… and biking to work. I am also excited about the world of online advertising. Most of all, I am excited about how ALL these “green” groups can better reach customers AND make money from their websites to support their causes by embracing advertising on their sites.

All these ideas are timely. I celebrate their confluence.

Ecology/nature– commerce/money. They are more interlinked than anyone would care to think, or would even want to think.

Currently, I am employed by Right Media, a company based in New York that has some paradigm-shifting products that are changing the way people view online advertising. Very cool stuff. The company also is very forward thinking in the way that it works with its employees. I am one of the main bloggers for their website, and I get to do unique things like choose some of our RMX Direct users, travel to were they live, shoot video/interview them, then edit the footage for vidoes as it regards using RMX Direct, the product which our Eugene satelite office is currently focusing on. I am the Community Education Manager–and there are a number of other tasks that I have. If you’re curious, you can read that blog here.

OK. With that, thank you for reading. I promise much more interesting posts than this one.

(The ability to post pictures is down currently with my wordpress account, but should be up soon…thanks for your patience…it’s working. Yeah!)
